Tell us your child’s age, the everyday activities or communication skills you are concerned about, the service you are interested in and your preferred language. Services are available in English, Mandarin and Cantonese. If you are unsure which service to choose, our service guide is a useful starting point.
Our team can discuss your enquiry, service availability and the next steps for a suitable clinician or assessment. You can read about our occupational therapy, speech therapy and assessment services, and meet our team before making an appointment.
This policy applies to all clients, including private-paying and NDIS-funded clients. Please provide at least two clear business days’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule.
If less than two clear business days’ notice is provided, or you do not attend your appointment, Lumos may charge the full scheduled appointment fee (100%), in accordance with your service agreement and where permitted by applicable funding rules. This includes short-notice cancellations due to illness, family commitments, transport issues or forgetting an appointment.

For cancellation notice calculations, business hours are Monday–Saturday, 9:00am–6:00pm, excluding public holidays. A cancellation is treated as received during these hours. Messages received outside these hours are treated as received on the next business day. Saturday appointments are by appointment only and there is no reception or administrative staff on Saturdays; you can still send written notice by email, SMS or WeChat.
The two clear business days fall between the day notice is received and the appointment day. These examples assume there are no public holidays.

If the Monday before a Tuesday appointment is a Victorian public holiday, notice must be received before 6:00pm on the previous Thursday.
School holiday cancellations following the Victorian school term calendar are not charged when advance written notice is provided, as set out in your service agreement. Please contact us to arrange any planned break.
If Lumos needs to cancel because of therapist illness or unforeseen circumstances, no cancellation fee applies. We will make reasonable efforts to offer another appointment or a suitable alternative therapist.
