How we work

Care shaped around your child

We start with your child’s strengths, interests and everyday needs. Together with your family, we set practical goals for communication, play, learning, emotional wellbeing and participation.

Assessment, play-based therapy and parent coaching help connect sessions with life at home, at school and in the community. Our clinicians collaborate where appropriate, with therapy rooms and a sensory gym for individual and group sessions.

Practical information

Payment & funding

We can discuss fees, referrals and funding arrangements with you before booking.

Private payment & health insurance

You can book privately without a referral. Private health rebates depend on your policy and extras cover. Please check your entitlements with your insurer.

NDIS

We accept self-managed and plan-managed National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) participants. We are not a registered NDIS provider and cannot accept NDIA-managed funding.

We invoice plan managers directly. Self-managed participants pay on the day and claim reimbursement, subject to their plan.

Medicare

Rebates may be available for eligible services with the appropriate referral. Eligibility depends on the pathway, service and clinician. Please send your referral before booking so we can check the requirements.

Payment methods: Cash, EFTPOS, credit cards and bank transfers. Ask our team about appointment fees and any expected out-of-pocket costs.

Medicare rebates and referrals

Eligible children may access rebates through a GP chronic condition management plan (GPCCMP), the current pathway replacing the former Chronic Disease Management (CDM) framework for new plans.

  • Your GP assesses whether your child’s condition and care needs meet Medicare requirements.
  • Generally up to 5 individual services per calendar year, shared across eligible allied health services.
  • A current eligible plan and a valid referral are required.
  • The current standard benefit for eligible face-to-face OT (MBS 10958) and speech pathology (MBS 10970) is $63.40 per eligible service.

The rebate contributes towards the appointment fee; out-of-pocket costs may apply. Please ask us to confirm the service, clinician and fees before booking.

Benefits effective 1 July 2026; checked 25 October 2026. Official MBS: OT · Speech pathology.

Medicare M10: assessment and treatment

MBS Group M10 is a separate pathway from a GPCCMP. It supports eligible people under 25 with a suspected or diagnosed complex neurodevelopmental condition or eligible disability.

  • Up to 8 allied health assessment services and 20 treatment services per person over their lifetime, shared across eligible professions.
  • From 1 March 2026, eligible disabilities include stuttering, speech sound disorders, and cleft lip and/or palate.
  • Assessment can support diagnostic formulation; treatment requires a confirmed eligible condition, a treatment and management plan, and a valid referral.
  • Current face-to-face benefits are $89.50 for eligible speech pathology and OT services, and $101.55 for eligible psychology services.

A GP, paediatrician, psychiatrist or other eligible medical practitioner decides whether this pathway applies. Please send us the referral before booking so we can check the clinician, item, service length and likely out-of-pocket cost.

Benefits effective 1 July 2026; checked 25 October 2026. Official information: eligibility and requirements · MBS assessment items Psychology 82000, Speech 82005, OT 82010 · treatment items 82015, 82020 and 82025.

Getting started

Planning your first visit

Tell us your child’s age, your main concerns and your preferred language. We can discuss suitable services and clinician availability.

For assessments, a parent consultation helps us understand your child’s history and the purpose of the assessment. Your clinician will explain the sessions involved, how findings will be discussed and the expected report timeframe.
