Counsellor
Master of Counselling (Monash University)
Rachel holds a Master of Counselling degree from Australia and completed a two-year counselling training program in China, in addition to three years of specialised training in psychodynamic psychotherapy from the Chicago Psychoanalytic Institute. Her interest in working with children and families is grounded in her solid psychodynamic training.
Psychodynamic therapy is a unique form of psychotherapy that encourages personal growth and liberation from recurring patterns of living.
Rachel believes that by collaboratively exploring emotional experiences, thoughts, dreams, memories, fantasies, and bodily sensations, individuals can develop a resilient sense of self, enhancing their abilities to navigate work, relationships, and creativity.
With experience in psychiatric care centres, private practice, and primary schools, Rachel's approach to working with children is characterised by creativity, playfulness, and tailored interventions that consider developmental needs within the social and family context.
