Fees and Payment Options

MEDICARE

If you are referred by a GP under a Chronic Disease Management (CDM) plan, you or your child may be eligible for a Medicare rebate ($53.80 per session) for up to 5 allied health services per calendar year.

A CDM referral form is needed for your GP to complete. Your GP will decide if you are eligible for these services and will refer you accordingly.

Our most common co-providers are Speech Pathologist (SLP), Psychologist, and Physiotherapist (PT). If you are already seeing one of these health professionals, you are likely to be eligible for a GP CDM plan.

PRIVATE HEALTH INSURANCE

Depending on your policy and extras cover, you may be eligible to claim Occupational Therapy services through your private health insurance.

100 — OT Initial Consultation

250 – OT 60-minute therapy session

Check with your health insurance to see if your specific level of cover entitles you to a rebate.

NATIONAL DISABILITY INSURANCE SCHEME (NDIS)

The NDIS is a Federal Government funding scheme to assist individuals aged 65-years and under diagnosed with a disability or chronic health conditions. To receive funding, you must be assessed to determine your eligibility.

Lumos Paediatric Therapy can accept children who are self-managed or third-party managed under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).

Cancellation Policy

A copy of our cancellation policy is available from reception and will be explained to you at the initial appointment.

Consultations

If you need to cancel or change an appointment and provide more than 48 hours notice, no fee is payable. Non-attendance at an appointment or a last-minute cancellation (less than 48 hours' notice) will incur a cancellation fee equal to 100% of the consultation cost.

Any subsequent appointments will not take place until cancellation fees are settled.

Three consecutive cancellations may result in your appointment slot being offered to another client.

Group Programs

All dates and times are sent out prior to commencement. We recommend checking the dates to ensure you can attend every session. If you foresee that you may miss more than two sessions then we recommend attending the groups at a more convenient time. If you decide to forfeit the program it will incur a cancellation fee as outlined in our policy.

Please note there is no rebate available on cancellation fees. In the case of genuine illness or misadventure, please contact the clinic directly.

Refunds will only be considered in extreme unforeseen circumstances and will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
